Lets Take A Hike To An Anasazi Indian Ruin
At Keet Seel Ruin, Page 5

The ranger guided tour is limited to 5 people, at a time, and last about an hour. This is to prevent damage to this fragile Cliff Dwelling.

To get to the ruin , 40 feet above, you have to climb a ladder bolted to the cliff. One by one you climb to the top. A massive white pine log blocks the way. It's as if the Anasazi put it there when they left in the 1290s to tell people to stay out.

Keet Seel ("Broken pieces of pottery" in Navajo) is a Kayenta Anasazi Cliff Dwelling.

A 180 foot retaining wall runs the entire length of the alcove, supporting a walkway in the ruin. A walkway is rarely found in cliff dwellings.
